Sue Allene White, 74, of Lindsay, Oklahoma, was born January 22, 1950, in Golden, Oklahoma, one of twelve children, to Sidney Herrington Jones and Hattie Pearl Altom Jones. On Thursday, May 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, Sue went to her heavenly home with our Lord.

Growing up Sue moved between Blair, Golden and Madill, Oklahoma, with her family. Sue was a long-time resident of Garvin County, raising her kids in Maysville, Oklahoma, and later moving to Lindsay, Oklahoma, to be close to her family and work.

Sue worked for many years in furniture sales at McClure Furniture in Pauls Valley and Mathis Brothers in Oklahoma City. She worked at Kerr McGee refinery in Wynnewood, owned her own restaurant and was an excellent cook at the Ranch House in Lindsay. Sue was not afraid of any type of work and was known to drive trucks and work in the oil field. There was nothing that Sue could not do well.

Sue loved her family and was immensely proud of them. She loved to brag on her children and grandchildren about their accomplishments. Sue loved to tell stories of growing up with her parents and siblings. She loved holidays and visits with her family and their many activities. Sue’s hobbies and interests included cooking, canning, sewing, making quilts, visiting with family and friends, gardening, flowers traveling and even fishing and hunting. She made beautiful quilts and dresses for Kandy.

Sue was a Christian and a member of The Foundation Church of Maysville. She enjoyed reading her Bible and prayer. She was saved at an early age and recently reaffirmed her faith with baptism. One of her favorite Bible verses was: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall have eternal life” John 3:16 Those left to carry on her legacy are her children, Gary and Ashley White of Lindsay, Charlie and Michelle White of Lindsay, Royce and Gina White of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Kandy Wollenberg and Eric Murray of Lindsay and Johnny and Misti White of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Garrett and Lindsey White, Rylee and Conner Karpe, Destiny and Richard McLucas, Candace and Joseph McKenzie, Krystal and Jacoby Jarnagin, Harli White, Taylor and Sommer White, Tucker White, Hartly Wollenberg, Whitney Wollenberg, Karstyn Murray, Keyli Murray, Kortlyn Murray, Kenley Schilreff; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Pearl Jones; her sisters, Maxine White, Christine Felker, Marie Bray, Louise McGaha, Jean Underwood and Ruthie Faye Jones; brother, Rufus Ray Jones; and great-grandsons, Raiden and Kaleb.

Graveside Funeral Services were held Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Maysville Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at: www.winansfuneralhome. com.
