Ready for football: PV stadium renovations wrapping up

Several major improvements to Pauls Valley’s Thompson Field and Wacker Stadium are on target to wrap up just in time for the upcoming football season, according to district officials.

David Ponce came less than a quarter of a second from beating his own personal record in Des Moines, Iowa. The 2:12.08 run in the 800-meter race placed the Lindsay eighth-grader 32nd out of 82 at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Untimely errors erased a great performance in the circle by Pauls Valley southpaw Raegan Close on Monday in a District 4A-2 battle against Cache. Errors by Pauls Valley in the third and fourth innings led to single runs for Cache in both frames.

Museum closing a huge loss for PV community

Dear Editor, I was saddened when I read the Toy and Action Figure Museum was closing its doors permanently as of August 31. It’s not the fact that the museum is closing its doors, the museum will land on its feet in OKC or some other city.
Lindsay Community Library wrapped up its summer reading program with special guests from the University of Oklahoma Geological Survey. Children dug for rocks and fossils during the interactive experience and took home samples of their own.
