Rural Electric Cooperative recently donated $18,350 in grants to rural fire departments in the cooperative’s service area, including several in Garvin County. The grant awards were presented during REC’s annual Fire Department Appreciation Banquet, an event the cooperative has hosted for the last 34 years to recognize rural firefighters for their efforts in protecting lives and property.
