Pauls Valley officers participate in ‘No Shave November’

Things are “hairy” at Pauls Valley’s Police Department.

The department is participating in the second annual “No Shave November” event to raise money for Pauls Valley’s Angel Tree program.

How does it work? Individuals and businesses can sponsor an officer for five dollars a day, $25 a work week or one hundred dollars for the entire month of November. In return, the participating officer agrees not to shave for that allotted amount of time.

Last year, the department raised $2,100. Police Chief Mitch McGill said he hopes to exceed that amount this year.

“Being able to provide a child with something at Christmas that they may otherwise not have received is huge for us,” he said.
