Lee Littrell was hired as Pauls Valley’s city manager during a special meeting of the Pauls Valley City Council on January 5.
Littrell has been the city manager in Frederick, Oklahoma, since February of last year. Prior to that he served a year as assistant city manager and then six years as city manager in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Pauls Valley Council members voted unanimously to hire Littrell, concluding a search and interview process that has lasted several months as the council worked to fill the city manager position vacated by the retirement of James Frizzell at the end of December.
In addition to his experience as city manager in Frederick and Elk City, Littrell has 30 years of retail management experience with Wal-Mart.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity and I can’t wait to get started,” Littrell said after the special meeting.
He is expected to begin Jan. 31.
